Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 28, 2026

TyphoonGuard is built to keep you safe from storms — not to profile you. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and the control you keep over it.

1. Information we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to deliver the service:

We do NOT collect:
  • Continuous location tracking
  • Health, financial, or biometric data
  • Contacts, photos, or microphone/camera access (except for optional manual screenshot sharing if you choose)
  • Any payment information (see Section 4)

2. How we use your data

All data is used only for the core safety features described in the app (typhoon & squall alerts, pin monitoring, optional crowd-sourced pressure).

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share only in these limited cases:

4. Subscriptions & payments

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple or Google through their in-app purchase systems (powered by RevenueCat for management). We never see your payment details, card numbers, or billing address. RevenueCat and the app stores manage billing, renewal, and cancellation. What we do receive and store is your subscription status — the product you bought, its expiry date, and a store transaction identifier — because that is what unlocks paid features on your account. Deleting your TyphoonGuard account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings (the app links you there).

5. Data retention & deletion

6. Your rights

You can:

Contact us at the address below. We respond within 30 days (usually much faster).

7. Children’s privacy

TyphoonGuard is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of material changes via the app and update the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
